Averaging cells dependant on cells in another column

So I am trying to average cells E58:E85, if any only if the respective cell in F58:F85 contains the value of 1

I think this should be pretty simple, but I just can't grasp it.

So to rephrase, I want to average all the cells in E58:E85 that have a "1" in their respective F cell.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

Hi Andrex, welcome to the forum.

In Excel 2007 you can use:

    =AVERAGEIF(F58:F85,1,E58:E85)
