    Worksheet copy loses formatting

I have a spreadsheet that has a worksheet with a lot of special cell formatting (ie - merged cells, expanded column widths and row heights). I would like to duplicate my worksheet on to a second and third etc... worksheet. When I copy and paste my first worksheet into any subsequent worksheets all my special formatting is lost and the new worksheet looks awful. The merged cells remain, but all the column widths and row heights are all wrong (default cell width and height instead of what i want).

What is the proper way to copy data and formatting from one worksheet to another?

    Thanks in advance!

Once you paste in your data, go to Paste Special > Column Widths, to fix the column widths. Unfortunately, there is no similar way to paste special the row heights. If they are all set to a specific height, you can highlight/select the entire worksheet and format the height that way.

Have you tried using the Ctrl+Drag option of copying the worksheet?

Hold the Ctrl key down while dragging the sheet tab. Excel should create and exact copy of the original and change the tab name, for example, to "MySheet(2)". Just rename the sheet after you done.
