Using DOLLARDE to convert a single value like 17.2

=DOLLARDE(A1,6)*6

Note: DOLLARDE is an Analysis ToolPak function in versions of Excel before 2007. Without ATP here's another option.......

=A1*6+MOD(A1,1)*4
