Excel 2007 : anoying selection problem

Hello,

for some reason, when I click a cell in a table in Excel, the program selects several cells (bordering the one I clicked)

The trick is that sometimes it doesn't, but most of the times it does.

When I want to select a single cell, right now, I have to work my way up there with the arrows.

Any ideas what's causing this?

Perhaps you locked your Shift key by holding it down to long... try holding down the shift key until it unlocks... happens to me sometimes...

This can not have anything to do with the keyboard or other hardware.. I have tried it on 2 different computers...
