Changing Column value from referenced cell

I have a worksheet with a column of numbers.

    Column A has:

    1232
    9989
    44543
    22322
    9989
    1292
    44543
    1232
    etc.

What I want to do is have excel check column B & C which will have the value for the number is A.

    Column B:

    1232
    44543
    22322
    etc.

    Column C:
    Coffee Cups
    Styrofoam Cups
    Plastic Cups

So, 1232 is actually Coffee Cups so in Column A I want it to say Coffee Cups instead of 1232. Any help is appreciated.

I've never used it to overwrite values already contained in a column, but I guess I could use it on a blank column and then just copy and paste the newly created column that vlookup made over my existing one. Should work? thanks but if someone knows an easier way then please post. I'm actually tons better with php so I'm just exporting to a mysql and then I can manipulate it alot easier. A little work but it's about the same to me.
