Search a specific column in all sheets in a workbook without writing it out

    Hello,
I have 52 identical sheets in my spread sheet, 1 for every week of the year, followed by a summary sheet. I want to put a formula in the summary sheet that looks in the same column in every sheet but without having to spend all day writing it!

Is there a way of expressing "search all sheets in the workbook A:1" in a formula?

If there is it would make my life for next few days infinitely easier!

    Many thanks

    Rich

Depends what you're looking to do... there are certain functions like SUM which work in 3D fashion whereas conditional functions such as SUMIF/COUNTIF do not - such calculations generally require volatile array-esque approaches.

    3D SUM of A1 of sheets 1 through 52

    Summary!A1: =SUM('1:52'!A1)
