    create list of unique entries

    Hi there,

    I have a very long Excel list with text. Right now, each entry appears several times, as in say "a-a-a-f-g-g-l-m-m-m", etc,
    and I would like to keep each unique entry only once, i.e. the above example should be transformed into " a-f-g-l-m".

    Is there any way to do this in Excel?

    The best way to do this is probably experiment with the advanced filter (Data > Filter > Advanced Filter) and tick the box marked "Unique records only".
