    Find exact text

I have a list of about 300 products in a sheet of my workbook. I was wandering if there was any way (with or without the use of vba) that if you start to type part of a given product in a different sheet you could have excel sugest the closest product from the list. Data validation is not ideal since the list is very long.
I was also wandering if there was a way to do a search of the master product list without going to the sheet that has the list.
    Any sugestions would be apreciated

I don't think you're going to get there without validation, and VBA is deaf and blind when Excel is in Edit mode.

another option would be dependent lists
so from the first youd choose option say a-e which would then bring up a list with all products starting a-e and so on
