    Exclamation Lookup

    Hi all Could anyone tell me How can i lookup data based on text. I have given an example below where i have various vehicles with there code and i want to be able to segregate them in respective feilds based on their headings which is common. e.g Fuel, Fine.....



    e.g
    Fuel 15B67 £20
    Fuel 25A68 £45
    Fine 5y376 £20

    I must say Pivot Table is the best thing to do this type of work ......

    PivotTable is the best global answer, especially if you're building a full chart of all categories anyway, you get the work done all at once.

    If you only want a couple of answers, then perhaps a SUMIF() will suffice:

    =SUMIF(A:A,"Fuel",C:C)
