    Fuzzy logic

    Hi there,

Can someone help me do a fuzzylogic vlookup. I can do vlookups but need to be able to do a fuzzy logic one.

e.g. i have 2 lists of customers that are not identical, as below

    Customer Customer	Money
ANGLIA CROWN CATERING LIMITED ANGLIA CROWN LTD 1213
TILLERY VALLEY FOODS LIMITED TILLERY VALLEY 45
BRAKE BROS FOODSERVICE LIMITED BRAKE BROS LTD	5435
    A G AXTON & SONS A G AXTON & SONS LTD	7657
FOOD NETWORK CORPORATION LIMITED	FOOD NETWORK 764
I require to be able to do a fuzzy vlookup that will be able to put 1213 next to Anglia Crown Catering Limited.

    Is this possible please
    Thank you for your time

    Re: Fuzzy logic

well you could match using a wild card or 2 but it depends on how different your two columns are for your example this works

Excel doesn't have a built in "fuzzy find" and it's not a simple task to write one. That said someone has attempted it and posted the code and a turotial here, but don't expect it to be plain sailing.
