    Cumulative Balance

Very new to Excel. I threw this sheet together over the past 2 days and am stuck. I have tried many formulas for the Balance column but none seem to work properly.Balance with interest only computes properly when a debit is entered. Also no matter what Ive tried to date I always end up with extra incorrect data in the next cell until data is entered. Can someone please look and offer suggestions.

    Thanks John

    Re: Cumulative Balance

I believe your totals w/interest are wrong because it drops the ongoing interest running total on any line with a CREDIT only.

I also adjusted the formulas to simply key off the date in column A, the row will stay blank until a date is entered, then the totals will appear and as you add more data the numbers will adjust.

I also think your layout was a little confusing about what was being added so I offer a slight change to that as well.

I see the changes you made and am going to take em apart and figure them out.
