Adding exactly 1 month to initial date

Hi all,

I have a date on the top left hand corner of my excel sheet. I want to add exactly one month to that date in a vertical list (without using micros please) any ideas?

Example:

1/4/2005
1/5/2005
1/6/2005
1/7/2005
1/8/2005
.
.
etc

PS: I tried adding 30 (or a similar number like 29). It works but not if I want a large list of dates, which is what I want. The reason why it doesn't work is, I hope, obvious.

Enter the first half dozen dates into the column then highlight all the dates, grab the +sign at the bottom right corner and simply drag down. This will automatically fill the cells with the required data.

... or am I missing something

Well the problem is that all the cells are interlinked.

I want to create an automated sheet where every cell depends on a previous cell.

The sheet where the dates are depend on a previous sheet. So I dont want to drag down. Instead I want maybe a function or something else I can use.

if your date is in A1, then in A2 enter:

=DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1)+1,1)

copied down.
