Can't change or type in cell, or even save in 2007

For some reason, yesterday, I am no longer able to change data or put in new data in an Excel 2007 Spreadsheet. When I open a new spreadsheet, I can type for about 3-5 seconds and then no more. I also notice that everything is grayed out as well. I can't even do a save as on an existing document. Any ideas?

Reboot, retry, reinstall if no result :-)
