    How to create shift patterns

Hi, the company that i work for want to introduce a new 12 hr shift pattern, basically for 18 staff to work from 0800-2000 day and night 7 days a week with 2 half hour breaks during the day and one at night. I was wondering if anyone had a formula for calculating shift patterns.
    Thanks

it would help if you said how many on each shift! staggered breaks and such stuff.
but why dont you give it a go and post your draft here with any problems? or

24 staff working 0800-2000 and the same on night shift. Each day 2x half hour breaks and 1x half hour break on night shift.Ideally 8 staff on each shift with relief staff making up the rest. Does this help?

Re: How to create shift patterns

Hi would like to ask if there is a formula that can be derived in creating a shift pattern for 7 staff. 3 will be fixed regular working hours from 8am-5pm. The other 4 will either be on 8hr or 12hr shift pattern. No weekend shift to be scheduled.

    Many thanks
