    #VALUE! - Removal

I have performed a =SEARCH function to find a character string. Where this criteria is not met, a return of #VALUE! is the result. Can anybody please advise how I make such a return to be blank or even "0" as I wish to perform a sum on the results?

    Many thanks.

    Hi Garry,

A quick way is to surround your SEARCH function with an IF statement and error check like this:
