    Filtering problem

    Hello guys
I need help with my excel sheet. There are 9 projects in my excel sheet. I need to add up the total cost of each project using Filter. when I use filtering and I use SUBTOTAL or SUM it is ok but then when I unfilter the formula takes into account the cells that haven't been filtered.
For example i want to calculate the total cost of project 1 in C2. When i use Filter it shows 3658245609, but when i unfilter it shows the total cost all cells (including the cells in between) which is 70689113546. can u help me guys?
PS: An example worksheet has been uploaded.fx.xlsx

    Hi

I dont think that you will get much further with filtering you would probably be better off looking at a formula using sumif or sumproduct

    Hi

Ive attached a very basic sumif sheet for you to show how it works all you need to do is adapt the formula to your worksheet.
