Lightbulb Displaying a number as a fraction

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me....

    Example,

    In Cell E5 I have a decimal number .000366

    I need to make this read 1 /2728.744306 in F5 (.000366= 1/2728.7...)

Any idea how I can accomplish this? Its not as easy as just typing in the fraction without an = sign because i need it to change when my other numbers int he spreadsheet change...I just need the decimal to display as a fraction..

    Thank you in advance...

Re: Displaying a number as a fraction

Is always start with . (like .000366) or is there any number in front (like x.000366) or 0 (0.000366)?

In current example it will work with:

    =1&"/"&1/("0,"&RIGHT(C12;LEN(C12)-1))

    Just highlight the cells
Press Ctrl-1 to open the Format Cells box
Click on Number: Category: Fraction > OK

EDIT: I see your fractions do outstrip the builtin capabilities. Sorry about that.

Re: Displaying a number as a fraction

It doesn't work for me because it's written with . (in wich case it's recognised as text)

I just need that decimal in fraction form. When I go to format cells the only fraction options are to the hundredth place and it keeps displaying it as 0?

selecting the format cells fraction option doesnt work because the fraction is to small I think?

Re: Displaying a number as a fraction

    can use a custom format

    ???????/???????

Play around with the number of ? after the /, this is the maximum!

    for your example it returns

    ???????/??????? 1833/5000000
    ??????/?????? 281/766503
    ??????/????? 13/35461
    ??????/???? 1/2728
