    Unhappy adding numbers in a single cell

    What is the function to add numbers in a single cell to show only a single number. I know it can be done but do not know the quick function to do it.

    If you're talking about typing in a formula in a single cell but having it contain only the final number;
    type in the formula
    =7+9
    and before hitting enter, hit F9. The final value 16 will be in the cell sans formula. Is that what you want?

    Here is an example of what I mean.

    =3+2+8-3+7-10 it shows this in the cell. But there is a function that when it is all added up only will show a single number 7. It actula sums it up and replaces all the number to a single number. It is like a F5 or Cnt Alt function.

    I hope this if helpful.

    Hit F2 to re-activate the cell, then hit F9. Then hit Enter
