I am having the problem where my default action for the ENTER key has been set to do nothing. I keep going into OPTIONS and changing it so it will move DOWN...but as soon as I close MS Excel...and reopen it....it resets to nothing. Any suggestions on how to update the default permanently...or reset it to what I believe is supposed to be the standard default?
Just an update...this doesn't matter what file I open excel with...could be a file or a new form...but it does reset every time.
try tools /options /edit
check the move selection after enter box select down

I have done that...but when I close the instance of excel...and restart excel...it reverts back. Is there something else I might be missing?

probably not you need to save it as your default ,book 1 xls or personal xls
