Inputs on one cell showing duplicated in different worksheets

Have a spreadsheet with 11 worksheets. When I type things into and format cells in this one particular worksheet, the data is fine, but the problem is, that exact information and formatting shows up in the same exact cells on other worksheets.

It only happens randomly with certain cells and occurs in random sheets. There is no pattern nor does it guarantee that if it copies into a sheet once, it will do it again.

i.e. If I type in "book" into cell B34 in worksheet 1 and make the background gray, it will put the word "book" with gray background into cell B34 on worksheet 3, 4, 7 and 11.

Like I said, which worksheets it will happen in are not a guarantee each time. It is random.

I hope someone has had the same problem and was able to solve it, because I am inadvertently overwriting the data that was in the cells before they were overwritten and I can't 'Undo' the overwriting in the copied cells, meaning I lose the info!

    Thank you!

Are there any macros in the file? Also, be sure you haven't grouped sheets when that happens (ie, hold CTRL and select multiple sheets).

    No macros.

I have not idea why this would do this.

The only thing I can think of is that I usually upload the spreadsheet each night onto GoogleDocs for others to see and up until about a month ago I was downloading it and overwriting the original on my computer each morning incase someone made changes to it overnight on Google Docs.

Do you think uploading then downloading over the original from GD might have something to do with it? I know that GD has some format issues and can't recognize/compute elaborate formulas (i.e. SUMPRODUCT function with one or two other formulas embedded into it)
