    Default Currency is Euro

    Hey Excel Helpers,

I have a workbook that for has its default cell settings to accounting and the currency setting set to euros. Even if create a new worksheet in the book it still does this.

Googling this problem, the common fix is to ensure your Global Regional Settings in (Control Panel --> Regional & Language Settings). However my regional settings are set to 'United States' and the default currency is the dollar ($).

Anyone know how to fix this problem? Its just very annoying more than anything else. Thanks!

go to Format / Styles... The Style name should show Normal, Click Modify, on the number tab change the formatting to General.
