Exclamation Save File as txt with " and ' delimiters

I am using Excel 2007. I want to save the file as txt with delimiters of , and " and of course a CR.

I have tried every choice possible with Save As and when I open in notepad it only will put a tab between each field. Does anyone know how to change the delimiter to a , and a " ?

    Thanks for any help.

I can't import into my other application without the proper delimiters.

    Hi

have you tried saving as CSC file? CSV stands for Comma Separated Values, and will separate cells with commas, not tabs. If a value is text, it will be put in quotes, e.g.

    Name,Age,City,Zipcode
    "Martin",43,"London","HB24K3"
    "Sarah",45,"Houston","032776"
    "Tom",,"Tokyo",""

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't work. I am importing into another application and it will only import txt or dbf. I can't save as dbf in Excel anymore... I don't see the option and the txt has to have the commas and the "

    Any other ideas?

Well, you could export to CSV, then rename the file to have the extension TXT. CSV is basically a text file, just with the ending .CSV some software already knows what to expect, whereas .TXT could be anything, including CSV. Sounds like your "other application" is expecting a CSV format file, but with a .TXT ending. So, just rename ....
