    Hiding Rows using If Statements

I am wanting to hide rows based on if statements. If a single cell within a row has a value less than 1 or greater than 3 i would like to hide the row. How would I do this?

You can't hide rows using formula's. You can use a macro that looks at the cells in question and then hides the row if it meets your criteria.

    ok, thanks.

What i'm trying to do is populate a range of cells based solely if one of those cells is either a 2 or a 3. any ideas?

An example spreadsheet would help, preferribly an xls file.

    Hi,

you could use Autofilter in your original table (Data - Filter - Autofilter). This way you would not have to copy the data at all, but just filter on the fly.

I am using MS Excel 2008 and cannot find the auto filter function. All I have is the filter Icon and then i can choose "custom filter" but no Autofilter.
