Edit text string using delimiter?

With a column cells containing two text values separated by pipes ( | )
Example:
A1: Alpha|Bravo
A2: Charlie|Delta
etc

Try this...
Select the single-column range of text cells
From the Excel Main Menu: Data•Text_to_Columns
Check: Delimited.......Click: Next
Check: Other...Type: | ......click Next
Select whichever side of the list you want to ignore
Check: Do not import column (skip)

To write over the current values....Click: Finish
otherwise....Select a Destination cell...then click: Finish

Yes, that did the trick.

I never would have found that on my own.

How to mark a thread Solved
Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
