    Keep Trace Precedents

How do you keep "trace precedents" when you save a file? I've opened up files before and had them there and one of my friends' work computer saves them when she makes them.... mine just disappear when I hit "save". (using excel 07 if it makes a difference)

    Thanks in advance!
