    Protecting various cells?

    Hi everyone,

a newbie to the forum. Need some help!

I am trying to protect a sheet but allow for various cells to be updated at the same time. e.g.

the whole spreadsheet is protected, meaning a person should not even be allowed to click in it. Then I have cells B2:C10 that need to be able to be updated and cells F2:H10 to be updated as well.

    How do I do this?

    Thanks in advance.

You need to change the properties of the specific cells to be "unlocked" select the specific cells - Ctrl+1 - last tab then when you protect the sheet you can set different options for locked and unlocked cells.
