sumproduct not counting correctly

hi guys
i have come up with this formula
although its probably wrong as its not returning the right answer

=SUMPRODUCT(--('away team'!H:H='input sheet'!G1))

i need to count all cells with any data in, in column h
after its looked to see if g1 from another sheet is in column d

i have checked what i have by autofilter and the result whould be 23 but its returning 22

it needs to look for cell g1 on input sheet
then go to sheet home team
look down column b and count hown many times
cell g1 is in column b AND has data in column h

Perhaps try this formula

=SUMPRODUCT((B:B='input sheet'!G1)*(H:H<>""))
