Text Formating in Drop Down Boxes

When using the validation feature and creating drop down lists is there any way to have the fomatting used in the list show up in the drop down menu. I would like to use different color text to make it easier to select data in the drop down menu. Is there a way to do this.

I do not believe this is possible with the data validation option

Well, formatting the list content does not seem possible, though you can format the cell content of the cell displaying the list ( or you can display the formatted content in drop down list using VBA dropdown instead)
