When i try to use vlookup in a different spreadsheet from the range in the formula it returns 0 (zero).

    Re: Vlookup?

    =vlookup(212,lirica,6)

212= is the referenced value in the first collum
"lirica"= is the name of the range in the spread sheet
6= number of the collum where i'm doing the search
i'm trying to pull the information to a different sheet (same workbook) but it comes back "0"; also when i write the formula in the the sheet where the range is, it works properly.
    Thank you for your reply.

    Re: Vlookup?

    What happens with:

    =vlookup(212,lirica,6,0)
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: Vlookup?

when you are in the sheet you want to put the formula in and go to Insert|Name|Define.

Pick lirica... and does the refers to field show the correct range including the sheet that it is on? =Sheet1!$F$1:$F$15

Maybe you can post the sample workbook if that doesn't fix it.

    Re: Vlookup?

not sure exactly what you mean..

but if you want to delete a named range altogether... then go to Insert|Name|Define, select the named range and click Delete...

This may cause formulas in your workbook to go crazy if the named range you deleted was referred to.

    Is that what you meant?
