    Crosshair/Guidelines

I've searched around, but can't figure out what to call it. My coworker needs me to figure out if this is possible.

She's looking for a kind of crosshair/guideline thing for the cell that you're on. So say you're on cell N12, it's got a nice dark line that goes all the way back to the column 1 and all the way up to row A. It makes it easier to view everything else in that particular row and column.

    Hi,

It's not immediately clear what you're getting at. I guess you mean Column A and Row 1 not vice versa. Can you upload a workbook with a picture / diagram showing exactly what you expect to see?

I think I might know what you're referring to.

Chip Pearson has an add-in that does just that - it's called RowLiner and you can download it free from here.

But there's a caveat ... the add-in will disable your undo feature whilst it's in operation. This is a limit imposed by the way Excel works and there's no way around it.
