Locking rows together

i want to be able to lock my rows together. is there any way to do so not using macros?

i have a sheet with multipule rows of informations (part number, customer, operation, descrition, etc...). i want to be able to sort them, and keep the rows together.

The normal way would be to put each piece of information in its own column and then sort normally.

Lacking that, you could use two columns to sort -- one with the primary sort key, duplicated on as many rows as necessary, and one with a secondary sort key that keeps the components together.

Well, if you want to sort the rows based on values of more than one column, then
1.Select all the rows containing data
2.From the menu bar select data>sort
3.In the sort dialog box, select column name from the sort by drop down
4.Now select another column name from then by drop down

You will get the rows sorted by 2 column values
