    Freeze First TAB in position

I kind of feel this must be possible and i'm just not looking in the right place.

Is there some way to lock the 1st tab in my worksheet so that even when I scroll 30 tabs to the right, the 1st tab will always remain visible...

so you'd see maybe Tab1,Tab31,Tab32... etc along the bottom

I know you can hit the dedicated "1st Tab" button but users can get lost and forget where my 'Instructions' tab is

    thanks

Re: Freeze First TAB in position

thanks for the link with those suggestions

unfortunately none of them really do what i want. i dont want a split screen since i dont need the whole sheet to be visible all the time, only the tab at the bottom

back buttons won't work if the user has paged through several sheets and is dow in the depths of the worksheet

could put a button on every page with goto macro (would also act as a reminder to the user of where he started, but seems heavy duty (there are 57 sheets)

really all i want is that when the user looks at the row of tabs along the bottom he will always see my 1st tab which is labelled "Instr" at the left most side

    tks

Re: Freeze First TAB in position

Well, it is not a feature that can be turned on/off in Excel like Freeze Panes... so if it would have to be one of the workarounds on that link or you can try googling more for "Freeze Tabs" or "Freeze Sheets" and "Excel" or similar combinations until you find something that might work...

...or if anyone online here has suggestions, they may offer....
