Paste Problems

Here's a dumb question. For some reason when I copy a text line from another program and try to paste it into excel, each word is pasted into the next cell on that row and not all in the same cell. For example: I'll copy an address 123 Fake St. (no enter characters), and it pastes "123" in cell A1 "Fake" in A2 and "St." in A3. It always pasted into one cell before and dont know how a setting changed or how to change t back. I remember this happened once before and I fixed it, but cannot remember for the life of me how I did it. Any suggestions?

Instead of just pasting, right click & Paste Special. Select "Text" and hit okay, and that should do it.

Tried that and it didn't work. But colsing and reopening Excel seemed to fix it. Guess it was just some kind of glitch.
