Excel 2007 : Filter in Pivot Table

I am working with 2 pivot tables from an OLAP cube. I want to have one filter work on two separate pivot tables. i'm trying to use a combo box to accomplish this but am getting syntax error that i cannot figure out. Original reference in filter is "...[.........].&[Fiscal Period 3, 2008]" and I want it to look at at cell that references the selection. now i have "..[.....].&[Range("K1").text" and i'm getting a syntax error. How can i accomplish this? Any help would be greatly appreciated
