    changing column width in the middle of a spreadsheet

    Hi everyone, this is the first time I've posted. Is it possible to change the column width half way through the spreadsheet but retain the original formatting in the top? I want to be able to hide certain columns in the top but not in the bottom? Thanks

    A column width setting applies to the entire column the same as row height applies to the entire row

    Thank you, I didn't know if it was possible but you've answered my question, I know you can split pages and change margins, tab stops in Word, didn't know if excel was the same.
