    Collapsing Groups while the cells are protected

    I want to expand or collapse the groups while some of the cells are protected.

    It is better to look from the file I have attached. I want yellow cells to be entered by the user and the formulas will calculate the white cells. Since I do not want the user to change the cells; I protected white cells. However once protected the shet, expand collapse function does not work anymore. I overcame this problem in office 2007 but since I am using excel 2000 i would appreciate someone would tell me how to do it in 2000 too.

    The password for the file is 1234 btw.

    You need to apply some VBA here, eg:

    Thanks buddy but I dont want to apply VBA. arent there a more simple way. Because what I did in 2007 was to tick the not protect format box.
