Translate a word into a phrase.

im very new to this and i want to make a function that every time i write a certain word, it will automatically change it to another phrase. lets say whenever i write "hello" it will automatically change to "good bye". and i want to do it on certain cells.

    how can i do this?

    Hi,

Welcome to the forum. Please take a few moments to read the forum rules which require the thread titles to be meaningful. This is for the benefit of others who may later search the forum. As this is your first post I'll edit it for you.

In answer to your question, as a minimum you will have to define some rules in order to achieve a translation from a word to a phrase. But as a starter for 10, list your words in one column of a table, and the phrases they should translate to in the column alongside. Then use the VLOOKUP() function to lookup any word you type in the table and return the phrase next to it.
