Hi,
I am facing problem in placing a text box over a combo box in excel 2007.
The combo box by default is always taking the priority over text box.
Is there any way with which we can customize the order of the form controls according to our need.

Sorry if I sound ignorant here, but can I ask as to why you want to place a text box over a combobox ?
hi Steel,
Ok , Actually I need a editable combo box in excel 2007, but we dont have that option in form control combo box.So I thougt to put a text box over the text area of combo box and wiil implement the required logic to make this combinatuion work as a actual combo box.So, for that I need to have the text box over the combo box, but the problem is that the display of a text box in excel 2007 is over a combo box by default. So can u suggest some solution to this problem. Thanks in advance.
Why not use the combobox from the Control Toolbox?
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
See I want a textbox over combo box because combo box in 2007 is not a editable combo box.hence to make it editable i was thinkin to put a text box over a combo box and do the coding respectively to make it function and look like a acombo box.
If you use the combobox from the ActiveX Controls rather than Forms section.
Actually the client requirement is as such , that I can not use the Active X controls , hence i have to use the form controls only.So can u pls suggest some solution for a editable combo box using form control.
The textbox and forms control are on different layers, with the forms appearing above the shapes. If you display the selection task pane you will see a horizontal dividing line between the layers of listed items.
I think you will need to create a separate area for adding items to the combo box. Something like a button that displays an input box.
I got your point, but I have this issue with few other things as well...where I need to place the text box over some of the form controls. So is there any solution for this, with which I can decide the order of the controls and the text box.
