Formula for a downloaded gant chart?

Hi

I downloaded this template:

but rather than doing it in weeks I've changed the chart to work in days, but now when I enter the dates for start and end the right cells don't highlight in blue - it seems to start a day too early.

it's using a conditional format formula but can anyone help me get it to work as I need it?

The conditional formatting in G1:R1 is wrong(!). With those cells selected and G1 active, change the formula to

=AND($E2<=G$1,$F2>=G$1)
