    Disable fill series

Is it possible to disable fill series?

To improve usability I want the users of my sheet to be able to copy cell contents without holding the CTRL-key down when using the fill handle. The cells contains codes in the format A00001 (letter+number). By default Excel 2007 creates series when using the fill handle. I want the handle to be enabled, but act by default as if the CTRL-key was held down when dragging the handle.

The preferred solution would be a way to disable this feature for this one Excel-file, and not for the Excel application. But any solution is appreciated!

    Hi,

What that code does is disabling the autofill feature. I want the autofill feature to be enabled but by default copy the cell value, and not creating series. Actually I want the autofill feature to only support copy.

You made me think though :-)
There is a property called XlAutoFillType. Is there a way to set this to xlFillCopy by default? (or maybe disable all the others? - see link)

    Regards
