Hello,

I am trying to ascertain if there is a formula that links the following. I can't do a vlookup (i doubt) since there is no common item in relation to both sheets.

Basically I have a ledger (absolutely disorganised) the cost of Assets...reflected in column H.....the narratives which are appaling as a description for assets should be better as to what the items are.

The second sheet tends to have better descriptions in green shading.

e.g. cell H47 in Cost Sheet is reflected in C2683.of NBV SHEET....I therefore need to link the 2 sheets by looking at these but also I have to add the cell ref B2682 which is an asset serial tag..(FOR EACH RELEVANT TRANSACTION LINE)

How can i do this for the whole sheet, and bring back the answers (as full text + C-CODE) in Cost sheet -column M?

Once this is done I then can save the excel template and upload the data for (6000 lines or so ) so that the narratives in text fields are improved.

Can anyone help me please with a formula?
