    how do I eliminate spaces between cells

    Select the column and go to Edit|Go to

    Select Blanks and click Ok.

    Go to Edit|Delete and select Entire Row.. Click Ok.
    Where there is a will there are many ways.

    One by one blank?????????

    dou I have to do it one by one to delete the blanks? can we do it via menu<'

    You should focus on Red line as NBVC's help

    Select the AREA contained the blank in a a column and go to Edit|Go to
    - OR press shortcut key Ctrl+G

    Select Blanks and click Ok.

    Go to Edit|Delete and select Entire Row.. Click Ok. - - OR press shortcut key Ctrl+G

    Press F5 > Special > select "Blanks" > Right click highlighted cells and press Delete.
