    Formula For Counting

    How do I get cell C4 to give me a total of the times a score in column C is > than opposing score next to it in coumn D?
    Also, a total in cell D4 to show the number of times this team's score was less than the opposing score in column C.
    This would be for a running Win/Loss record.

    Thank you for your help.

    re: Formula For Counting

    Put this in C4=SUM(--(C7:C149>D7:D149))
    and this in D4=SUM(--(C7:C149<D7:D149))

    These are Array function do do not press enter, but Ctrl+Shift+Enter. You'll see this appear {=SUM(--(C7:C149>D7:D149))}

    An alternative,

    C4=SUMPRODUCT(--(C7:C149>D7:D149))
    D4=SUMPRODUCT(--(C7:C149<D7:D149))

    Select C4 and D4 and auto-fill to Z4

    RWGRIETVELD & OLDCHIPPY,
    Thank you very much for your help and input. Both formulas worked perfectly.
    I would have never figured out how to do this without your help.
