    LOOKUP question

    In column A I have a list of inventory (ie, Watermelon, Apples, Bannana, ect) and column E shows why they have been spoiled. I need a formula in to show a "0" if there is no value (blank) in the respective row and a "1" is there is any value at all (explanation) in the respective row. Please help this newbie!
