Change row color if = to todays date

    Hello again,

I have a workbook that contains approx 75 worksheets. In column B of each worksheet are numerous pre determined dates. On each of the actual (real) dates data is entered into the same row and in various columns. For ease of data entry I want to change the row color when the predetermined date matchs the actual date. Is this possible?

Sure, just use Conditional formatting on those cells.

    Highlight the cells
FORMAT > CONDITIONAL FORMATTING > Cell Value Is : Equal To: =TODAY()
Then click on the Format button, Patterns and select your color.

    Sorry,

I hit the reply button too quick. Will conditional formatting affect the formulas already in the various columns.

    Thanks

Nope. It just checks to see if the date displayed matches TODAY.

    Hello all,

In furtherance to my initial post. Dates are in B9:B30. I can get the conditional formatting to highlight todays date but I cannot get it to highlight the entire row relevant to today's date. I only want this row highlighted for ease of data entry across 20 or more columns. I have search the posts and tried format painter but I am having no success. Am I going about this the wrong way?

    Thanks

Put your cursor in C1 and click on Window > Freeze Panes. Now you'll be able to see the dates no matter how far to the right you go.

    JBeaucaire,

I am already using this feature, however the highlighted row will make data entry easier still. If it is possible.
