Adding conditional formating depending on user input.

    Hello All,

Firstly, thank you for helping me out.

My excel file starts by asking a user to input a set of values in a single column (from column 1-10).These values are then used in a table for calculations. If the user also adds values to column, lets say, 12. I want to add 3 rows to my existing table....I tried conditional Formatting but with no luck. This is what I have.('x' = user input)

    unit_name user_data
    A x
    B x
    C x
    D x
    .
    .
    M x

....Im having trouble drawing a table here...but hopefully you get the point...I want to add 3 rows because the user added an input for "M". Thank you for your time and effort.

First, I don't understand you very well. Column?row? Your data is in a column or row?
If the table is A1:J1, Then you want to extend the table to M1
Then you can use conditional formatting for K1:M1
    with the following formula

Then format > border > outline
I need your support to add reputations if my solution works.
