Display An Image As A Result Of A "Vlookup"

Can I display a picture as a result of the following vlookup?

    =vlookup(a3,named range,4)

If so, how do I insert a picture into a specific cell?

    Barry

    No, and no again.
You can't insert a pic into a cell.
Is that necessary? Maybe you can try to use a symbol instead of a picture.
I need your support to add reputations if my solution works.

i'm sure you could write some kind of macro which allows you to paste a picture at a specific cell reference. it won't be int he cell but it can be done to always go to a specific cell (eg. c40) or something like that.

You can have each picture in the workbook, hidden (say in column CC). Then write a macro to read the output of your vlookup, and based on that output it goes and copies a specific picture, then pastes it in a specific cell.

    might work??
