    Excel Transpose Question

I have a string of text (name, address, phone #, etc) in a row. Each piece of data has it's own cell. How can I change the format so it is in columns? Each person would have their info in a row, each row would be a different persons data. Columns across top would be Name, address, phone, etc. Thanks in advance for any help!

If your string of text is in one cell - column A, then use Data > Text to columns

Each piece of data is in its own cell as an example
    a b c d e f
1 Last Name First Name Phone Last Name First Name Phone

Would like to be able to quickly move d1 under a1, e1 under b1, f1 under c1.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, same data for each person. Tried to cut and paste an example, didn't work so well. Basically cell A1 would have last name, B1 would have first name, C1 would have phone number, D1 is blank, E1 starts over with new person, E1 last name, F1 First name, G1 phone number. My goal is to have all of column A be Last name, B be first name, C be phone number. Row 1 would be person one, row 2 would be person two, row three would be person three.

    Chris:

Can you post a workbook with a meaningful example?
