This one has me baffled. If I save an Excel file the date accessed and the date modified attributes default to 03/01/2006. If I reset the attributes using a third party program to current date and time, the aforementioned attributes will revert to 03/01/2006 when I resave.
Now if you think that's odd, it only happens on one drive, a networked drive that has mapped folders to drive letters. If I save the files on any other drive on my pc the attributes are correct. Access does the same wierd thing.
I expect you'll suggest it's the drive. However, Word, Publisher and Powerpoint don't do this. If I use another PC to open an excel file, it too will not correctlly apply the attributes, as seen in windows explorer.
I have deleted the folder, recreated it, copied files over with the correct date and time accessed and changed attributes, only to be resaved as 03/01/2006.
Then I tried deleting the folder and creating a new .xls from scratch and saving it in a folder, created by Excel, on the networked drive. Guess what? The date was 03/01/2006.
Any ideas anyone?
