Copying Filtered Data to Another Column

I have two columns and I filtered B according to a custom criteria
I tried copying and pasted the filtered data to Column A. The data comes over not aligned after I paste and remove the filter.

How do I accomplish this "without" pasting over the data in column A that was not included in the filter. I don't know what I'm doing wrong
I'm using excel 07 thanks!
